Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong
background in DBT, Fivetran, SQL, and deep domain knowledge of the pharmaceutical
industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing our data pipelines
and architecture, ensuring the delivery of reliable and scalable data solutions for analytical and
operational use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using DBT and Fivetran.

  • Work with various data sources, integrating them into a modern data stack.

  • Write complex and efficient SQL queries to support data modeling and reporting.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability.

  • Apply pharmaceutical domain knowledge to understand the context and nuances of thedata.

  • Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows and performance issues.

  • Ensure timely project delivery and support urgent business needs.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, DBT (Data Build Tool), and Fivetran.

  • Proven track record of delivering robust data pipelines and transformations.

  • Mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical domain (clinical trials, regulatory data,drug development, Patient Summary etc.).

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

  • Experience working in Agile environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to join within 1 week – strict requirement.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python for data scripting.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA/GxP compliance and data privacy regulations in the pharma industry.
