Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database management systems including MongoDB and SQL, with a strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles. Experience in the healthcare domain is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement robust database architectures using MongoDB and SQL, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Develop and maintain database schemas, applying advanced data modeling techniques to optimize storage and retrieval.
Implement data governance policies and enforce security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data, adhering to industry regulations such as HIPAA.
Fine-tune database performance by optimizing queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations.
Build and maintain ETL pipelines for seamless data integration across systems, employing tools like Apache Kafka and Apache Spark.
Collaborate with development teams to design efficient data access patterns and provide guidance on database-related challenges.
Perform root cause analysis for database-related incidents and implement corrective measures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Evaluate emerging database technologies and recommend strategic solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
Document database architectures, data flows, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, preferably in the healthcare domain.
In-depth knowledge of database management systems such as MongoDB, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data security, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Proficiency in database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
