Job Description

Fanisko is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Intune Architect/Senior Engineer to join our team for a 3-to-6-month contract engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop robust architectural designs for Microsoft Exchange, emphasizing scalability, security, and performance.

  • Configure and optimize Exchange servers, databases, and mail flow components.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Exchange with other systems (e.g., Active Directory, SharePoint).

  • Lead Exchange deployments, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Enforce security policies, including encryption, anti-spam, and anti-malware measures.

  • Monitor compliance with data retention and legal requirements.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

  • Fine-tune Exchange performance by analyzing logs, monitoring resource utilization, and addressing bottlenecks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex email delivery issues


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019/Online).

  • Experience with migrating from on-premises Exchange to M365 and tenant to tenant migrations

  • Proficiency in Exchange architecture, mailbox management, and transport rules.

  • Strong understanding of SMTP, DNS, and email protocols.

  • Designing & implementing services of MS Exchange server (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019) such as High Availability (DAG), Public Folders, Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging, Mailbox migrations both on-prem and cloud.

  • Experience in assessing Exchange Servers, health checks of existing solutions, providing best practice recommendations, guidance on clients, and supporting customers on their operations in Exchange environments which includes change, release, performance, and availability management.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE: Messaging, M365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate).

  • Previous consulting or project-based work.
